Today was the last day of school for Jill. Therefore, it was also the last day of Weekday for McKinley until the Fall. They will be able to spend the next two months or so together at home. We are looking forward to more time together as a family this summer! Below are some pictures of McKinley in the outfit she wore to her last day of Weekday. Thanks Nonnie and Papa!
McKinley has been sleeping all night long for a week now. Awesome! Now I can get the sleep that Andy has been getting for the past 27 years. WooHoo! Below she is enjoying a nap in the Thurman family cradle.
We traveled back to Tennessee this past weekend so that we could spend time with family. There were many highlight during the weekend as we celebrated our nephews. Brenton turned 2 years old and we celebrated this with a fishing party at the “duck pond”. Thatcher turned 6 months and is on “a roll” – literally. We cannot believe that they are growing up so fast! When we arrived on Friday, Thatcher wanted to grab McKinley’s nose. Who could blame him…it is very cute! Brenton was also interested in McKinley aka “Baby K”, as he affectionately calls her. This was our first road trip as a family of three and McKinley did amazing. With all the festivities, we were a bit off of her normal schedule but that did not keep her from melting everyone’s hearts. We were all tired after this weekend and are still recovering but were so glad that we could spend this time with family.
As if you had any reason to doubt that McKinley is growing…here’s proof. Yes, both of these are McKinley! Amazing!!
McKinley surprised all of us on Saturday night when she went from her tummy and rolled over to her back all by herself. Jill and I both cheered with excitement. This combined with the surprise of turning over, startled McKinley and she began to cry. What an exciting time to see her doing things we would never think could happen this soon. Our little girl is growing up
