Well, pretty much everyone thinks McKinley looks like her Daddy. I have only gotten one vote and that was from a stranger who had never met Andy before. Well, last night, I was convinced too! Andy was reading to McKinley and as they were reading, I looked at both their expressions and they looked exactly the same. It was the eyebrows. I had to take a picture.
You have to click on the picture to get to really see how much it looks like Andy.

Practice Rolling Over June 29, 2009
For the past month, we do this game with McKinley where we help her practice rolling over. We lay out a blanket and roll her from one end to the other and then back. We help her get started and then have her finish the roll if she can. She has gotten much stronger and seems to like it. When I lay her down and say “roll over” (in a high pitched voice of course), she smiles. Andy did this with her yesterday and really made her work. He would get her halfway over – on her side – and then just support her there and try to get her to move and get the rest of the way over. She did really well and we got some really cute pictures during it.
Tummy Time June 29, 2009
At 3 months, 3 weeks old, McKinley is getting stronger at holding her head up, especially during tummy time. Now, I have been laying her on her tummy on her play mat. There are so many interesting things and colors, she will stay there longer than just on a regular blanket. Sometimes she looks at the things hanging down and sometimes the pictures on the mat catch her eye. When I look at these pictures, she looks so big. Oh and of course there is always drool involved when she sees something that she wants to put in her mouth:)
Happy First Father’s Day June 29, 2009
Last Sunday we got to celebrate Andy’s first Father’s Day. We went to church and Andy got to stand up when they asked all the dads to stand. Everyone clapped and I was so proud, I just wanted to shout! Andy was so proud carrying McKinley around church. We got to hang out as a family after he got off. McKinley had made him a card (with Mommy’s help). It was so cute because when I read it to her before we gave it to her Daddy, as I was reading, she smiled and giggled. We had a wonderful time and are so blessed to have Andy as a Daddy.
I Love My PolkaDots June 17, 2009
McKinley has done the cutest thing all day today. She has a burp cloth that is pink with brown polka dots, just like the blanket in the background of this picture. After every feeding today, I sat her on the boppy facing me with the burp cloth over my shoulder. She catches the burp cloth in her gaze and then just stares intently at it for about 5 seconds. Then, she grins! It has happened at every feeding today and has made me smile. She has also started trying to grab it. She is opening and shutting her hand but can’t seem to get it most times. She is really working on it though.
It’s in the Water June 16, 2009
Well, I can’t believe it but from our last small group that we led, 6 out of 7 couples are either pregnant or are with child now. When we multiplied into new groups last summer – not a one of us was pregnant. Maybe some people were trying but they were keeping it on the downlow. Well, here is a picture of all of the girls. It is crazy because it happened in pairs. Lauren and I had our girls in March. Kelly (blue dress) and Terri (purple dress) were due this summer. Kelly just had her son on Monday and Terri is due in July. And Molly (pink) and Christina (blue) are due in December. It was so fun catching up and talking “Mommy talk”.
McKinley Loves Daddy’s Music June 15, 2009
Andy brought out the guitar the other night and started playing. We tried to learn some songs like Mary had a little lamb and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star. McKinley would just smile and kick her legs.
McKinley LOVES Mr. Duck June 15, 2009
Over the past week, McKinley really loves looking at Mr. Duck on her playmat. Well today, I took Mr. Duck off and gave him to McKinley while she was sitting in her Bumbo seat. She was starring so much I wanted to know what she was thinking – it looks like she was thinking “You look so good I could eat you!” Don’t you just love all the drool.
